Our research interests spread over wide range of subjects of nuclear physics from the low-energy to the high-energy: By putting emphasis on that degrees of freedom which govern the dynamics of nuclear system are nucleons at low-enegy, mesons and baryons in intermediate-energy, and quarks and gluons in the high-energy, the research aims to clarify the nuclear effective interactions, the nuclear reaction mechanism, nuclear structure and also hadron structure in terms of these degrees of freedom.

Current projects are

• Spin-isospin structure of light nuclei,
• Nuclear reactions and nuclear structure at the medium- and high-energy region which are concerned with dynamics of mesons and baryons,
• Hadronic structure based on chiral quark soliton model,
• Reaction mechanism of high-energy heavy ion collisions,
• Hypernuclear physics,
• Nuclear weak and electromagnetic Interactions as probes of the nuclear structure and also the symmetry of the basic interactions.
